Dr Rahul Sadashiv Bawankule is an AYUSH Undergraduate with a doctoral qualification (Ph.D. to be awarded) in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. He has previously done PGDHM (Health Management), M.Sc., and M.Phil. (Biostatistics and Epidemiology).
Dr Rahul is very passionate about teaching and research and is committed to helping his students to grow. He holds more than two years of experience in teaching Research Methodology and Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Demography to Doctoral (Ph.D.), Postgraduate (PG), and Undergraduate (UG) Medical and Non-Medical students in various universities. He has also worked as a ‘Project Coordinator’ for ‘Improving Maternal Health in six poor states of India – DFID-GPAF (Supported by – Oxfam India)’ in Gadchiroli district (Maharashtra).
Dr Rahul was the recipient of the Dr PN Mari Bhat Gold Medal for Best Dissertation (May 2016) in M. Phil. (Biostatistics and Epidemiology) and IIPS Silver Medal for standing Second (May 2015) in M.Sc. (Biostatistics and Epidemiology) at IIPS, Mumbai. He has published six research articles and one is under peer-review in the Scopus-indexed international scientific peer-reviewed journals (Scopus and Google Scholar h-index = 5). He also presented several research papers at international conferences. Dr Rahul acted as a reviewer for PLoS ONE, and, The Lancet Regional Health – Southeast Asia.
