Knowledge Resource Centre at D Y Patil University, School of Public Health
The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) at the D Y Patil University caters to the academic requirements of all the 18 schools at the University and houses more than 100000 books. KRC provides critical support to enrich and complement the academic endeavors of its students, researchers and staff by making extensive learning resources accessible to its varied users. Further, the KRC provides access to the world of information – whether online, multimedia or in print through its various collections. It has a seating capacity of around 540 persons and is spread across three different floors of the University building. The KRC also has the Computer Lab with 200 computers for students and staff.
More than 200 books titled have been proposed to be purchased for the School of Public Health. At present there are around 100 books related to School of Public Health available at the KRC. Further, KRC is prioritizing the books acquisition for the school both from Indian and International Schools to develop the collections on the subject of Public Health. The KRC also provides access to number of Electronic Resources such as Science Direct, JGate EBSCO, Springer, ProQuest etc that open ups the gateway to access various online research databases, e-journals, magazine subscriptions, ebooks etc.
