Programme Objectives
The overall objective of this MPH programme for working professionals is to train competent and skilled specialists who will aid in problem solving and critical thinking in the public health domain and effectively meet the public health needs of the country.
Duration & Pedagogy
The programme commences in the first week of February every year for individuals with at least two years of work experience. It is designed for individuals with at least three years of work experience. It is a 60 credits 24-month intense programme consisting of 10 required (core) modules and 2 electives. The elective module offer flexibility to tailor coursework according to the student’s public health goals. This program will be in a hybrid mode with onsite classes every weekend (Friday and Saturday). Pedagogy for each module has been meticulously planned with emphasis on experiential learning through interactive discussions, field assignments, and a capstone project. A learning management system will provide online learning content on a weekly basis with mandatory assignments and assessment.
The school infrastructure has been thoughtfully designed to promote interaction and team work.
Opportunities for interacting with internationally eminent faculties from the field of public health is a notable feature of this program besides having access to edX online portal offering various courses from universities across the globe.
